If your work runs through an account somebody else set up, the verification code goes to their inbox rather than yours. Every sign-in becomes a request, and then a wait.
HeyPass removes that step. Your administrator connects the shared mailbox once. After that you request the code yourself and it appears on your screen.
What changes.
The code arrives in seconds, so it has not expired by the time you enter it.
Nobody has to be awake or at their desk for you to sign in.
Two of you can need the same account without either code going astray. One person holds it and the other is queued.
You are not interrupting anyone, which is the part most people would rather not keep doing.
What you would see.
Some services send digits. Others send a link that works once, or ask whether a browser signing in belongs to you.

Worth knowing before you raise it with them, because it is the first thing either of you will wonder.

What you did after signing in. Your own email. Anything you browse or send. HeyPass knows a code was asked for and handed over, and nothing beyond that.
It works the other way as well. You are never given a login to the shared mailbox, so nobody has to decide whether to trust you with the invoices sitting next to the codes.

Questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in a browser and works on a phone, which is where most people are when a code is needed.
Will my administrator have to give me inbox access?
The opposite. HeyPass exists so that nobody has to hand out a mailbox login. You receive the code and nothing else.
Can I use this for my own accounts?
No. HeyPass is for accounts an organisation owns and shares. Personal, financial, medical and government logins are excluded under the terms.
What does it cost my team?
Nothing for a small team. The free plan is not a trial and has no expiry.
